Our allegiance extends not only to our valued workforce, esteemed patrons, trusted suppliers, and the community at large but also to the timeless craft of the guitar itself.
The expedition from my modest workshop ensconced within a historic, ghost-infused loft in Annapolis to a state-of-the-art factory was a daunting odyssey. It was an odyssey forged by my enduring passion for tactile creation. Why else would a high school enthusiast enroll in three, sometimes four, shop classes simultaneously? My inaugural foray into guitar construction was a gauntlet thrown at the feet of my college music mentor, a challenge that earned me an unblemished "A." This moment ignited the spark to chase my aspirations of crafting guitars for a livelihood.
Memories abound of idling around local concert venues for extended stretches, cultivating camaraderie with the unsung heroes of the music industry, the roadies. Armed with backstage access, I'd present my handcrafted guitars to the luminaries of the stage. Perchance, one in every ten nights, a sale would ensue. Iconic names like Carlos Santana, Al Di Meola, and Howard Leese, among others, graciously consented to inspect my creations. Deals were struck. A vow was made - if an order was placed, a deposit rendered, and the final product failed to enrapture the recipient, I'd graciously refund the deposit, even if my rent payment loomed like an unassailable mountain.
Armed with a burgeoning following and a dossier of over 50 guitar orders, two prototypes were conceived. Tucked into the back seat of my trusty truck, these prototypes became my road companions as I traversed the length of the East Coast, knocking on the doors of guitar dealers. After tireless days and countless miles, I emerged triumphant, clutching a substantial pile of orders that would inaugurate the establishment of a nascent enterprise.
The journey thus far has been nothing short of awe-inspiring, marked by a steady crescendo in factory capacity, employee strength, global distribution, and a growing roster of esteemed artists who favor our instruments. The crescendo does not conclude here; it merely echoes in the backdrop of our determination. Each facet of your PRS guitar is a testament to decades of scrutinizing, reevaluating, and reimagining. The pursuit of perfection drives us to stretch boundaries that others might deem unassailable. Seasoned experts meld their knowledge with unmatched technology, while devoted artisans labor with unwavering dedication to birth a final product that is impossible to put down. Our creed allows no concessions. This narrative is the origin story of a voyage that, while not brief, is unequivocally sweet. The moral that reverberates through these chronicles? The importance of nurturing one's dreams.
As we recollect this narrative, it's impossible to omit the stunning lineup of our premier guitars. The "Custom 24," a veritable icon, is revered for its harmonically rich tone and mesmerizing playability. Then there's the "McCarty 594," a masterpiece that marries vintage flair with modern precision, delivering a sonic spectrum that is nothing short of symphonic. And let us not forget the "Santana Signature" model, a result of a symbiotic partnership with the legendary Carlos Santana himself, epitomizing the pursuit of sonic brilliance.
In the ever-evolving landscape of guitar craftsmanship, our voyage continues. Every chord struck, every riff played, bears the imprint of this ongoing dedication to excellence. The tale of our journey thus far is an enduring reminder that dreams, when nurtured with unwavering commitment, have the power to resonate beyond imagination.
