Ehsaan Noorani is the Ehsaan of the Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio which consist of Shankar Mahadevan, Loy Mendonsa and himself. He is a popular music composer and a guitarist. He was a freelance guitarist for many composers like Louis Banks before he started composing music for commercials and then for feature films. Ehsaan studied music from Mr. Bismarck Rodrigues, an experienced guitar teacher from Mumbai and then went on to study music at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California from 1985 to 1986.

Ehsaan is the first guitarist from India to be endorsed by Fender guitars and has a Squier signature model to his name. He also endorses Fractal Audio. He is one of the prime artists of D’Addario Strings in India and we are extremely honoured to have him as a part of our family! He truly loves the NYXL and EXL range of electric guitar strings and this is what he has to say about D’Addario –

“In the studio or live, D'Addario strings are consistent in tone and above all in feel. The tension remains stable and the tuning accurate. In changing levels of humidity and temperature, the strings remain stable. I have been using D’Addario for over 20 years now and they have been consistent in quality and tone. The NYXL strings give strings a new meaning and are the best strings ever made.

In 2015, Ehsaan was a co-judge in India's first English singing show called The Stage produced by Viacom and aired on Colours Infinity. He continues to do so for the show's second season. In addition to Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Ehsaan also performs with Fender and Friends featuring guitarists like Warren Mendonsa and Rudy Wallang. Shankar Ehsaan Loy are the leading Bollywood composers in India and have won many awards including the "National Award" presented to them by the late President of India, Abdul Kalam.

20 years on Shankar Ehsaan Loy are still on top of their game and have had over 45 #1 songs and have written over 300 songs. They recently opened for the Brit Rock band, Coldplay and appeared in the finale with the band on November 24th for the Global Citizen Concert.
